A native of the Los Angeles area, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara to study World Religions in 1995. While in school, I traveled to India and developed a passion for photography. Later, I joined the staff at the Gallery of Contemporary Photography at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica and was inspired by the work of leading fine art photographers and photojournalists. This led me to enroll at Brooks Institute of Photography and receive training in photojournalism. Eventually, I joined The Malibu Times Newspaper as a photographer and writer, and covered local community news and events. I was most recently exhibited in Santa Barbara’s annual “Buddha Abides” show at Caruso Woods Gallery and the “small images” exhibition at SBCC’s Atkinson Gallery. Since then, I have earned an M.A. in Religious Studies and have traveled to Tibet several times, documenting the richness of religious life there.
